Is HTML a programming language

The answer lies in understanding the distinction between markup languages and programming languages.  Programming languages,  like Java or Python,  are designed to execute commands and control the behavior of software applications.  They involve variables,  conditional statements,  and loops to manipulate data and perform complex tasks. HTML,  on the other hand,  is a markup language.  It doesn't execute instructions or control the flow of a program.  Instead,  it provides a set of tags and attributes that define the structure and content of a web page.  These tags tell the browser how to display headings,  paragraphs,  images,  lists,  and other elements.
